Toddlers at our centre are nurtured in a safe and happy home like environment. Our focus at this age is to foster a passion for learning through a wide variety of fun, engaging experiences. Our toddlers learn through active participation in activities such as music, movement, art and storytelling. These activities foster both mental and physical development and allow children to grow at their own pace.

Our tailor-made nursery and toddler outdoor playscape provides a shady, fresh area for our children to work on their crawling and balancing as they explore and play. In our nursery sand pit, the children enjoy discovering different textures and surfaces all while eagerly watching the older children running around in the neighbouring playscape. A custom made slippery dip provides a gentle slope for the children to explore.

At Bay Explorers, Junior Kindy is designed for the developing needs of children aged from 2 to 3. We work cooperatively with the Toddler classrooms and the Senior Kindy classrooms to build both learning and social opportunities. Educators in this age group have clarity of intent as they focus on assisting the children in discovering their own identities. This enables us to embrace and build upon each child's individual abilities and areas of particular interest. A vital source of new ideas for our daily activities comes from our productive interactions with our families as they share their home time experiences with us allowing us to build continuity into the children's lives.

For children of 3 to 4 years of age, we provide a stimulating environment in our Senior Kindy classroom. Each child is supported as an individual to enjoy learning in both our indoor and outdoor environments. Teachable moments are embraced by our Educators as they enable fresh activities tailored to this age group's developing needs. We utilise age appropriate and culturally referenced resources to support the programming goals, ensuring that all of our Senior Kindy children can maximise their learning opportunities through active and involved play. Supporting the children's emotional needs, and ensuring a safe environment are both of paramount importance.
