At Bay Explorers, Junior Kindy is designed for the developing needs of children aged from 2 to 3. We work cooperatively with the Toddler classrooms and the Senior Kindy classrooms to build both learning and social opportunities. Educators in this age group have clarity of intent as they focus on assisting the children in discovering their own identities. This enables us to embrace and build upon each child's individual abilities and areas of particular interest. A vital source of new ideas for our daily activities comes from our productive interactions with our families as they share their home time experiences with us allowing us to build continuity into the children's lives.
At our Junior Kindy both in Deception Bay and Hervey Bay, we carry out a flexible indoor outdoor program that stimulates developing brains and supports the children's evolving interests.
Problem solving, experimentation, carrying out investigations and developing hypotheses are all important skills and processes that are underpinned through the daily experiences that we deliver. Children are supported to participate in these activities as we work hand in hand with our families to build a strong foundation for a love of lifelong learning.
