I have worked in Childcare since I was 21 years old ranging from Outside School Hours Care to being a Group Leader in a Nursery.  I love being a part of a child’s first five years of life as I believe these years are the most important, as they learn, grow, and adapt to the big world.  We are always learning something new, which is what I love about working in this profession.  I am very passionate about each and every child that I care for and believe you need to build a relationship of trust and safety for each child and their families.  I look forward to being a part of your child’s learning journey and growing together.

When I was very young I used to play the role of a teacher and taught my younger sister and cousins.  This role play became real when I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Education in 2008 and Master of Arts in English Literature in 2009.  Immediately after completion, I commenced a role in a Senior Secondary Army School.  After one year in this role, I married and moved to Australia.

In Melbourne my first job was as a sandwich artist in Subway.  During this job I enroled myself in the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.  I have enjoyed my ECEC roles since this time and I have now accummulated 5 years of experience in the profession.

My personal philosophy when working with children is that every chid is born with learning capabilities and they start learning from the very first day of their lives.  They are natural communicators and thus express themselves using many languages.  They learn from their surroundings and those around them.  As an Educator, I believe in facilitating and supporting the exploration of a child's surroundings. 

I look forward to having lots of fun with the children on their early years learning journey at Bay Explorers.

I studied a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) through Central Queensland University after completing my Diploma and realising that teaching was my passion.

I am a proud wifey to Matt, and Mum of two daughters, Leilani and Mayah.

I am excited to teach your children with our wonderful Kindy Team.  I can’t wait to embark on this next journey of their life and help prepare them for school.  I endeavour to support their learning, needs and interests to the best of my ability every day!  My goal is to have a room of content, engaged and happy children because of the support and experiences we offer.

I endeavour to support both children and families in the lead up to Prep and am always available to have a chat to, provide advice, and appreciate all feedback!

I am from a big family with lots of nephews and a niece whom I love to look after.  I am so excited to be a part of the Bay Explorers family and to be able to watch your children grow.

In 2012 I married my husband Ash and together we have 3 crazy, energetic, loving boys - William, Jax and Kobi. William and Jax are in Primary School and Kobi attends Bay Explorers Urangan.

I love watching the children grow and develop over the years they are in care, and the relationships we build with not only the children but their families also. It is important to create an environment where children feel safe and supported and can grow beyond. I love to get messy and create some amazing memories. I can’t wait to meet you all.

I have worked with children for 3 years across sectors from disability support work to childcare, and I hold my Certificate lll in Education and Care and am currently studying towards my Diploma. I have a wide knowledge from working with all different ages of children and always love growing and expanding that knowledge.

I grew up in Shepparton Victoria, and now live in Hervey Bay with my partner and our beautiful cattle dog.  We enjoy camping, fishing and amazing rodeos.

I have two older brothers Connor and Taylor, and in my spare time I like to go shopping, hang out with my friends and take my dog Leo for walks along the beach.

I began my journey in 2011 as a student while I studied my Cert III and really enjoyed working in a team, gaining experience and knowledge working with all age groups. After a few years I decided to venture on my own, operating a family daycare business which I ran for 5 years. However, I really missed my centre life so I am thrilled to become a Bay Explorers team member. I am excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to build nurturing relationships with families and children.

I believe children feel happy, secure and loved when those connections are built first. Through relationships, your child learns whether the world is safe and secure, whether she’s loved and by whom, what happens when she cries, laughs or makes a face, and so much more.

I cannot wait to meet you all and start my journey.

I have now lived in Hervey Bay for two years, after moving from New South Wales; my children and family are loving the Sea Change and exploring all the new areas.

I’ve been lucky to be a part of the Bay Explorers’ team as a Lead Educator since moving and have loved getting to know all the families and being a part of their children’s fun learning adventures.  I have a loud and bubbly personality so it’s always fun and laughter in our experiences and I love seeing the children’s happy faces each day.

I moved to Hervey Bay in 2012 with my family as we wanted a change from our busy life in Melbourne.  I have had many opportunities come my way since moving to the Bay including representing QLD in Womens Masters AFL (winning 2 out of 3 Premierships). This was a childhood dream come true!

I completed my 1st Marathon (42.2km in Hervey Bay) at the Bay Break festival and was thrilled to achieve this goal.

My family has volunteered our weekends to help with training of assistance dogs for Autism, seizure alert and vision impaired children, through an organisation called Smart Pups. What these dogs give to the families is really life changing.

I’ve been with Bay Explorers for just under 4 years and during this time I have had the opportunity to see the children start as babies or toddlers and develop right through to graduating Kindergarten.

The feeling you get when the children graduate is of pure pride as you can see how much they have grown in the time they have spent with you. It is a privilege to guide the children and then see them reaching each of their milestones in the nurturing environments that we have provided for them over this journey.

I have 3 children and 2 dogs and have travelled to numerous places overseas but am now settled with my family back in Hervey Bay. I have worked in a range of kitchens and childcare is a new and exciting area for me, so I am looking forward to being a part of the Bay Explorers team.

I enjoy all things casual, embrace home life, pigging and quality times with family and friends.  I don’t mind a cold beverage or two and having a laugh with others.  I always enjoy making the most of every moment and I love being a Dad to Hadlee my adorable, sassy and out there daughter (she gets that from her mother).

If you see me around the Centre fixing, creating and engaging in the environments just say “Hi” I am always up for a friendly conversation.

I am passionate about building consistent, nurturing relationships through conversations and interactions with the children and their families, and I pride myself on being able to connect to children and provide them with a sense of belonging within their childcare service.

I am beyond excited to join the Bay Explorers team and look forward to meeting all the families and children at the centre.

I am originally from a small town in Western Australia but spent 14 years in Brisbane and recently moved to Hervey Bay. I am so excited to have joined Bay Explorers and I can't wait to learn and grow within this team.

I look forward to providing quality care, encouraging secure relationships and creating play-based learning environments for your child.

My belief is that it is important to see each and every child as capable despite their diversities and it is up to us as educators to make them realise their potential. My aim at Bay Explorers is to provide a high-quality program that will allow your children to learn and grow in their abilities.

Since moving to Hervey Bay 10 years ago, I have been lucky enough to enjoy the many things the Bay has to offer. I like to go fishing on the weekends with my wife and eating a good hamburger after a swim at the beach. I am looking forward to cooking for everyone at Bay Explorers and meeting you all.

Growing up on the Mornington Penisula I developed a strong passion for surfing and most weekends I spend my time teaching children how to surf in Noosa.  When I’m not mucking around in the water you’ll find me playing Aussie rules football for the Hervey Bay Bombers.

I am excited to start my journey at Bay Explorers and I am ready to have lots of fun and create lots of memories and learning journeys for all the children and families.
