Throughout my time of over 10 years with Bay Explorers I have celebrated many milestones personally and professional including celebrating my engagement than marriage and the birth of my 2 beautiful girls Hadlee & Harper. Professional milestones have been huge from entering Bay Explores in 2014 as an Assistant with a Certificate 3, to completing my Diploma and making my way through positions such as Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Director and now current roles as Director / Operations Manager.  I have truly accomplished some very big milestones just not in that specific order. I wouldn’t of been able to accomplish any of these if it wasn’t for the support from Wayne & Sandi the Approved Providers I wouldn’t be where I am today. They are truly a part of my Family.

My husband Matthew, Hadlee, Harper and I love to go camping on weekends, looking for different ways to create fun, adventure and those lasting memories.  We are very fortunate to come from big families and enjoy spending quality time with our relatives.

I am always around children, they are a big part of my life at home and at work.  I truly find endless fulfilment from being around younger children especially, as I watch, engage and nurture my own two girls.  I am extremely passionate about children's unique personalities, the challenges they may bring, building their confidence and overall, their health and wellbeing.

As the first point of contact in the Urraween service I aim to create an environment that is welcoming and informed for families and children that will in no doubt leave a lasting impression.  I feel most accomplished knowing that I have given families the best firsthand information and find it warming when they choose Bay Explorers to be a part of their family.

I look forward to each and every family that I get the pleasure of meeting and enrolling into care.  I also look forward to the working day as no one day is the same.  I can't wait to meet new families as they come to visit for the first time.

In 2019 I took a break from the ECEC profession and did an apprenticeship in the automotive industry which I absolutely loved. I am quite often found tinkering on cars when I have spare time. Later in 2020 I welcomed my first child, Dexter.  My partner Blake, myself and Dex and our four-legged friend enjoy spending time in the outdoors and spending time together as a family.

I have always had a passion for Early Childhood Education from the first day I started in this profession.  I love being alongside children as they discover who they are, explore the world around them and learn what it is to enjoy life.  My role as an educator is to provide children with spontaneous and intentional learning experiences for them to continuously grow and become confident and involved learners. I am also a strong advocate for children’s emotional wellbeing, and I am constantly researching, learning and implementing strategies to support children to become familiar and aware of their own feelings.

I have been part of the Bay Explorers team since April 2021 being a lead educator in the Toddler and Senior Kindy classes. I have a constant passion for wanting to learn, regardless the topic, so to be able to research, share and implement this with the Bay Explorers team is so exciting. To think that I play a role in guiding, supporting, and teaching both children and educators is super cool!

I studied a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) through Central Queensland University after completing my Diploma and realising that teaching was my passion.

I am a proud wifey to Matt, and Mum of two daughters, Leilani and Mayah.

I am excited to teach your children with our wonderful Kindy Team.  I can’t wait to embark on this next journey of their life and help prepare them for school.  I endeavour to support their learning, needs and interests to the best of my ability every day!  My goal is to have a room of content, engaged and happy children because of the support and experiences we offer.

I endeavour to support both children and families in the lead up to Prep and am always available to have a chat to, provide advice, and appreciate all feedback!

In my spare time I’m always adventuring and love travelling to new places. I am so excited to learn and grow at Bay Explorers and help your children hit all their milestones.

I started my learning experience in Senior Kindy as an Assistant Educator and I absolutely loved it!  Now I am looking forward to working along side new Educators and new age groups as this will develop and further my knowledge in other areas.

I am so thankful I chose this profession. It has been something I have wanted to do since I was a teenager, and I feel there will be more amazing years to come.

My partner Stephen and I moved to the Bay from Cairns 3 years ago, to be closer to family.  Stephen has his own business doing Mobile Mechanic work. I have a son named Cameron who is 25 years old who lives in the Bay, and my partner has 2 children who are 24 and 21 years old who live in Sydney.

I love all animals and have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I also love being an Educator as it allows me to see the children grow and find their way into the world.  

I am currently in my final years at school and have a younger sister and my two dogs named Jasper and Willow. I'm beyond excited to meet you all and to start my journey here.

In 2012 I married my husband Ash and together we have 3 crazy, energetic, loving boys - William, Jax and Kobi. William and Jax are in Primary School and Kobi attends Bay Explorers Urangan.

I love watching the children grow and develop over the years they are in care, and the relationships we build with not only the children but their families also. It is important to create an environment where children feel safe and supported and can grow beyond. I love to get messy and create some amazing memories. I can’t wait to meet you all.

I have two older brothers Connor and Taylor, and in my spare time I like to go shopping, hang out with my friends and take my dog Leo for walks along the beach.

I began my journey in 2011 as a student while I studied my Certificate III and really enjoyed working in a team, gaining experience and knowledge working with all age groups. After a few years I decided to venture on my own, operating a family daycare business which I ran for 5 years. However, I really missed my centre life so I am thrilled to become a Bay Explorers team member. I am excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to build nurturing relationships with families and children.

I believe children feel happy, secure and loved when those connections are built first. Through relationships, your child learns whether the world is safe and secure, whether she’s loved and by whom, what happens when she cries, laughs or makes a face, and so much more.

I cannot wait to meet you all and start my journey.

I have worked in Childcare since I was 21 years old ranging from Outside School Hours Care to being a Group Leader in a Nursery.  I love being a part of a child’s first five years of life as I believe these years are the most important, as they learn, grow, and adapt to the big world.  We are always learning something new, which is what I love about working in this profession.  I am very passionate about each and every child that I care for and believe you need to build a relationship of trust and safety for each child and their families.  I look forward to being a part of your child’s learning journey and growing.

I have now lived in Hervey Bay for two years, after moving from New South Wales; my children and family are loving the Sea Change and exploring all the new areas.

I’ve been lucky to be a part of the Bay Explorers’ team as a Lead Educator since moving and have loved getting to know all the families and being a part of their children’s fun learning adventures.  I have a loud and bubbly personality so it’s always fun and laughter in our experiences and I love seeing the children’s happy faces each day.

When I’m not working you can find me walking along the beach picking up treasures to add to my collection.

I have 3 children and 2 dogs and have travelled to numerous places overseas but am now settled with my family back in Hervey Bay. I have worked in a range of kitchens and childcare is a new and exciting area for me, so I am looking forward to being a part of the Bay Explorers team.

I have 5 siblings and a dog named Gavin. Before I was in the Childcare Industry I was a teacher’s aid up north in Scottsville (a very small mining town) working with Prep - Year 2 students which I think is what really kicked off my career in Education. I have had a lot of great mentors along the way to help me learn and grow in this profession.

I enjoy all things casual, embrace home life, pigging and quality times with family and friends.  I don’t mind a cold beverage or two and having a laugh with others.  I always enjoy making the most of every moment and I love being a Dad to Hadlee my adorable, sassy and out there daughter (she gets that from her mother).

If you see me around the Centre fixing, creating and engaging in the environments just say “Hi” I am always up for a friendly conversation.

My belief is that it is important to see each and every child as capable despite their diversities and it is up to us as educators to make them realise their potential. My aim at Bay Explorers is to provide a high-quality program that will allow your children to learn and grow in their abilities.

I am from a big family and aim for that in the future, while in my spare time I see myself as an Author as a creative outlet.
