The Junior Kindy Room is a cosy, homely environment that encourages children to become increasingly involved in activities and experiences that foster a love of learning.
We believe that the process of learning happens most effectively through play. Essential to this is fostering a caring, happy, challenging and stimulating environment. We encourage children to play and therefore to learn.
Our Educators very much welcome parent input and participation to link centre, family, community and home life in a continuity of learning to ensure meaningful experiences.
Within our learning environment our Educators present inspiring learning spaces for young children which stimulate and encourage children’s involvement with each other, the room, playground, our high quality resources and the natural environment.
Our Educators design unplanned events that give the children opportunities to inspire new experiences and use incidental learning and teachable moments to extend on children’s abilities.
We use the outcomes, principles and practices of the EYLF and the elements of BELONGING, BECOMING and BEING to achieve the five learning outcomes.
Our educators provide open-ended learning experiences to ensure the children develop positive attitudes. Educators participate in co-learning in an ongoing cycle which uses children’s ideas to scaffold each child’s learning and actively foster high level thinking.
